Angie and Peter Lowry with Decorating Den were lifesavers when we moved into our historic 1780’s home in Smithfield in 2005. Peter was able to handle both the kitchen and master bath renovation that was immediately necessary. The design and workmanship of the renovation was outstanding and gave us the exact “feel” that we wanted in our historic home. Angie did a fantastic job pulling together all the decorating to make the entire house flow seamlessly. We have lived in the house 5 years and still get compliments on how beautiful the kitchen, living room and dining room decorating flows from one room to another.

The Jamestown settlement in the Colony of Virginia was the first permanent English settlement in the Americas. William Kelso says Jamestown “is where the British Empire began … this was the first colony in the British Empire.” Established by the Virginia Company of London as “James Fort” on May 4, 1607 and considered permanent after brief abandonment in 1610, it followed several earlier failed attempts, including the Lost Colony of Roanoke. Jamestown served as the capital of the colony for 83 years, from 1616 until 1699.
